How does the quoting feature for friends work

1️⃣ Request a new quote

Click "New Quote" to start obtaining a new quote. Fill in the required information as prompted on the page, and then submit the quote request.

2️⃣ Review the quote

Wait approximately 1-2 minutes for the quoted price to be generated. You will receive a notification through the app.

You can view the quote and share it with the friend using the button at the bottom, or request a better price (which will initiate the process of providing proof of Progressive documentation).

You can view your quote history by clicking "Quote History." Please note that each quote is valid for only 7 days, and expired quotes cannot be retrieved.

3️⃣ Share the quote

To share the quote with the friend, one option is to copy the link. The friend can open the link, perform a simple information verification, and claim the quote.

Another way to share the quote is to copy and share the Quote ID directly. This method is suitable if the friend has already installed and logged into the app. The friend can retrieve the quote through the "Retrieve Quote" function in the Service page of the app, entering the Quote ID and other verification information to claim the quote.

4️⃣ Claim the quote

The friend can start the Retrieve Quote process once they receive the quote share through any of the above methods.

To protect personal information, retrieval requires verification of the Quote ID, Last name, and Date of Birth.

After verification, the friend can view the quote details and decide whether to claim the quote according to their own wishes.

After the friend successfully claims the quote, they need to log in to the app to make the payment. The claimed quote will be visible on the Service page after the friend logs in.
